In Memoriam of
Michael Burkeen

It is with sincere sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Burkeen on October 15, 2020.

Michael Burkeen graduated from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and co-founded NSMH in Spring 1989. Michael was also a founding member of the NSMH Legacy Fund at The Pittsburgh Foundation in 2015, and served diligently on the Legacy Fund’s Executive Committee as Treasurer until his passing.  In the mid-1990s, Michael contributed to establishing the NSMH Alumni Fund Scholarship Fund at the POISE Foundation. 

Michael loved NSMH and was completely committed to its success.
